Getting Unstuck

I was having so much fun kneeling on a frozen lake, contributing to a community art project, that I didn’t notice the ice had chilled me to the bone.

Metaphors abound, as my student said, when I told her how cold I’d become.

Warming my body back up took quite a while. It required a lot of trust in my body, spirit, and right timing.

I admit, for a while it was me versus that darn chill. I felt stuck, knocked out of my game, and at odds with it.

Yet this became an awakening experience for me when I expanded my view to consider how three forces were at work, not just the “me versus the chill” loggerhead.

Three really is a magic number. (Remember School House Rock?) From the three measure step patterns in traditional dances to the mystical teaching of the law of three, three is powerfully associated with transformation.

If you are feeling stuck in your life or entrenched in conflict, I invite you to let go of any dualities and consider how three forces may be at work.

I’m going to be sharing a technique for activating the alchemy of three in order to create balance and harmony. Immerse yourself in the transformative power of three at the coming Healing with Our Community session of Grandmothers’ Garden.

Until then, I wish you peace, health, and joy.
