What makes the difference between bitter cold and cozy cold?

Not the temperature, in my view.

Last week everyone tumbled into dance class stamping off the snow and shivering with cold. I confess I’d been having some “how many months will it be like this?” thoughts.

Luckily dance warmed us all up with the meditative movement, beautiful music, and meaningful connections. 

Later, when I stepped out into the dark and cold, I still felt like I was glowing. Inside me was a dancing flame of joy that was somehow all the sweeter surrounded by snow.

In less than two hours, bitter cold had become winter magic.
