Energy Refresh
With lots happening in the news, ill family members, and holiday preparations underway, it was no wonder that I heard my spouse vent “It’s too much!”
If you are feeling worn out, tired, or small,
If you are feeling frozen with stress,
If your body is locking up as you sit in front of a screen,
I have a qigong practice for you.
It’s natural that we might freeze up in moments of danger or stress. It’s a wise survival mechanism. AND, we are not meant to stay frozen. We need to find our way back to flow. Even ice melts and glaciers move.
Water can be our role model for moving even while frozen. For thawing and returning to flow.
“Nothing is more powerful than the water.” I’m often reminded of this by Sharon Day, the Ojibwe elder who leads water walk ceremonies along the length of entire rivers.
Water can bear life.
With time, water can find its way around any obstacle.
With the force of storms, floods and ice ages, the earth uses the water to purify itself.
In qigong practice, water helps us soften and flow around our stiff places. As we get our bodies flowing, we are not just flowing with ourselves, we are flowing with all the water.
That means we are connected with the support of all the water. Is there anything more powerful?
If the water can always find a way, so can you.
Join me in a 7 minute qigong practice to refresh your energy by connecting with the power of water.
All my love,
Emily
