Releasing Shoulder Stress

At age 13, I had a clear moment in dance class when I realized I could relax my shoulders.

My teacher called it a miracle. She had prompted me to drop my shoulders so many times before, to no avail.

I thought calling my breakthrough a miracle was a bit strong. It had seemed ordinary; I had simply noticed that I didn’t need to do it and stopped.

That moment when we notice and find freedom to change – I now see that they are small miracles!

Shoulders reflect our most primal mind. They are the first place we get congested with stress.

Shoulders are also the gateway to relaxation.

If you feel like you need to destress or chill out in your shoulders, this qigong practice is for you.
