Unexpected Shocks
I was in the middle of my Adirondack vacation, savoring the clear energy of the woods when I got the text.
Had I heard?
There had been another scary and unexpected tragedy.
Even when we think we’ve unplugged or insulated ourselves, surprises still find us. We overhear something, we get a text, or the unexpected practically leaps out at us.
When I got the text, did I get worked up? Yep.
When we get shocked by the news it can even traumatize the body. As we scramble to understand what’s happened, all the energy rushes to the head. Even the energy other parts of the body need to function well.
We need to calm down. So that our body stays in balance.
We need to calm down so we can respond with love and help make things better.
I’ve got three transformational resources to help you find more calm and more healing:
An 8 minute practice you can do now and on repeat to get you calmed down if you’ve been shocked by scary news.
A weekly Healing Circle: your steady oasis where you can build healing momentum during a chaotic time.
One-on-one sessions that empower you with insight and healing for where you feel most stuck.
I want to shout out how unexpectedly awesome the new Healing Circle has been this past month. Surprise does work in the positive direction!
Gathering in a group for healing meditation truly does magnify the experience. It’s a pleasure to see the people in the circle finding more ease and sense of groundedness.
That’s why I’m continuing the Healing Circle in August to see where this takes us. It’s certainly making my Tuesdays feel a lot better.
If you think the Healing Circle is what you need to start feeling better, sign up today. Next session begins August 5.
