Tipping Point
Surprise! Even though we had such a long warm summer, the autumn equinox is here.
Are you noticing your energy level changing?
While I’m still hoping for a few more outdoor adventures, I notice the pull to slow down and create more time for silence and reflection.
The point of pausing to notice the autumn equinox is to appreciate how this moment contains both the fullness of the summer and the growing inward pull of winter. Most importantly, it’s a day for preparing oneself for the transition to the cooler and darker months.
Even though it is counter-cultural – it is incredibly valuable for your health, energy level, and creative capacity to intentionally change the rhythm of your activity with the season.
The beginning of November is an especially important transition point.
That’s why I invite you to be part of Gathering at the Threshold on November 1.
Join me by the Minnesota River around a fire to welcome the night. Rather than having the time change and darkest season of the year shock your body, get outside to fully embrace and experience it.
Dancing by candlelight to the mix of intimate acoustic music, crunching leaves, crackling flames, and geese in the distance can help you soak up and delight in this special time of year.
It’s a special time for honoring our ancestors and inviting them to support our dreams in the season to come.
No experience necessary – teaching is intertwined with the whole experience.
I’d love to see you there!
Love,
Emily
